In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the official announcement, "A strange meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret sect.
The mission focuses on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Extra Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana together with multiple items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
